Project Manager

Overview

Responsible for general account management, client retention, customer servicing, and providing industry specific outreach related technical support including providing guidance to clients in terms of engagement, outreach, and stakeholder development recommendations. Responsible to assist in growing the book of business in the areas they support.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage customer expectations and project communications across multiple stakeholders and multiple projects within a given account
  • Provide proactive day-to-day client service by anticipating client needs and responding to client questions and issues in a timely manner
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, track, and support the company’s community outreach and public engagement efforts from initial planning phases through completion
  • Outreach, engage and enhance relationships with targeted communities
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships and oversee meetings with elected officials, government agencies, CBOs, and other community stakeholders
  • Present and speak at various community meetings and events as needed
  • Plan, write, and edit material for advertisements, news releases, internal communications, promotional events, and other public information
  • Available to work evening hours and weekend events as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • 3 years + of account management and/or project management experience
  • Background in community engagement and event production experience
  • Must be able to competently use Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and have a quick-to-learn acumen for other software platforms
  • Ability to think critically and identify opportunities, challenges, needs, and prioritization of work/time management to meet mandatory deadlines of projects and the company
  • Possess the skills and initiative to drive projects forward with little-to-no supervision
  • Ability to communicate extremely well, both verbally and in writing
  • Must have strong attention to detail, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate complex situations, find gaps, and recommend and implement effective solutions
  • Must be able to competently use Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and have a quick-to-learn acumen for other software platforms
  • Ability to work mostly from home, but able to drive to meetings throughout Southern California as needed. Rare but potential travel out-of-state.

  • BS/BA degree

Pay Range: $85k and up – Pay is commensurate on skills & experience

Work Schedule : Hybrid-Work from home and an in the office

Position will be required to come into the Pasadena area office 2 days per week
