Project Manager / Professional Engineer (Civil or Structural)

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensed Civil or Structural Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager / Professional Engineer . In this role, you will oversee and manage various structural engineering projects, guiding a small team to ensure that projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget. You will be responsible for providing direction, technical expertise, and leadership to ensure efficient and accurate project delivery. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers and drafters to complete structural engineering projects in a timely and efficient manner.
• Oversee project scope, timeline, and budget while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, and create detailed plans in accordance with industry standards.
• Review project contracts, change orders, and scopes of work, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
• Cultivate strong client relationships through effective communication and deliver superior customer service.
• Apply your organizational and leadership skills to manage resources and meet project milestones.
• Monitor and maintain project budgets and timelines, ensuring successful project execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all project details align with client expectations and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering with a Structural or Civil emphasis.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California (Civil or Structural).
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on structural engineering design experience.
• Proven management experience , including overseeing and mentoring team members.
• Experience with structural engineering calculations and designs for residential, commercial, education, and/or solar projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2015 or newer (2D drafting experience).
• Must be client-facing with strong communication skills
