Position: Property Claims Field Adjuster

Location: Murray, UT

My client is seeking a dedicated Property Loss Claims Specialist responsible for investigating, negotiating, and resolving property loss claims. This role involves assessing damages, writing repair or replacement estimates using Xactimate, and documenting claim records to support payments. The ideal candidate will apply appropriate policy coverage and legal analysis for claim payments.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards for customer service, including prompt contact and follow-up to resolve claim issues.
• Conduct thorough investigations of coverage, liability, and damages, maintaining supporting evidence for payment or denial.
• Inspect and document damages, including photos, inventories, damage scope, and diagrams.
• Coordinate repairs or replacement of damaged property, temporary housing, emergency restoration, and contents replacement.
• Negotiate claims to a fair resolution.
• Conduct risk analysis for home safety standards and prepare reports.
• Prepare cost estimators to establish insurance value.
• Maintain adequate claim reserves for anticipated loss and claim expense payments.
• Manage costs associated with all aspects of recovery, including subrogation, salvage, and reinsurance, as well as loss adjustment expenses.

Qualifications:

• College degree or equivalent training.
• 3+ years of prior claims handling or damage repair experience.
• 2+ years of property loss estimating experience.
• Working knowledge of auto and property damage estimating.
• Proficiency in computer-related applications.
• Understanding of home and auto construction.
• Knowledge of insurance policy contracts and coverage.
• Familiarity with the Utah Unfair Claim Practices Act.
