Our mission is to solve long-term resource adequacy and investment challenges, monetizing insights through a private investment firm that provides advisory services and manages capital for institutional investors.

We are seeking exceptional Quantitative Software Engineer to join our focused team of investment professionals, developers, and data scientists. You will build cutting-edge analytics tools, engineer proprietary applications, and

develop innovative quantitative solutions to drive profitable insights for our clients.

About Chronometer Partners:

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and develop analytical tools that form the backbone of our investment and advisory services.
  • Collaborate on innovative solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on energy markets.
  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using best practices and modern tools.
  • Build and optimize systems across backend data pipelines, APIs, and user-friendly frontend interfaces.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in our AWS cloud environment.
  • Contribute ideas to shape proprietary quantitative models and data-driven strategies.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics).
  • Strong interest in energy systems, financial markets, and resource investment challenges.
  • Hands-on experience with our tech stack: Python, Pandas, databases, and AWS.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for solving complex, interdisciplinary problems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Bonus: Experience with energy market data, quantitative modeling, or AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

What We Offer:

  • A vibrant, entrepreneurial culture with a focus on innovation and impact.
  • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and generous paid time off.
  • Daily opportunities to tackle diverse, high-stakes challenges in a complex system.
  • A collaborative, inclusive team environment in the heart of Pittsburgh, PA.
  • Compelling candidates may qualify to work remotely, depending on the situation and availability
