Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a state-operated hospital in Indiana. This role involves providing direct patient care, supervising support staff, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care and support treatment planning.
- Administer medications and monitor treatment responses.
- Maintain thorough documentation using EMR systems (Cerner preferred).
- Support and educate patients, families, and staff.
- Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Indiana or a NLC participating state .
- Associate Degree in Nursing (or higher).
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer skills.
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient advocacy skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and handle physical demands.
Preferred:
- Experience with adult/geriatric populations.
- Cerner EMR or other EMR experience.
- CPR and CPI certification (training provided if not current).
