Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking School Nurse for exciting Travel and/or Local job in Phoenix, AZ 85021 . Shift - 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide direct 1:1 nursing care, including breathing treatments and other necessary interventions during the school day.
Assess health care needs and refer to specialists as appropriate.
Administer prescribed medications, immunizations, and treatments while documenting dosages, responses, and any adverse effects.
Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in line with state laws and physician directives.
Educate the student on personal hygiene, health practices, and overall wellness where appropriate.
Support medical appointments, including physician communication and interpretation of medical information for the student and family.
Monitor and manage emergencies related to accidents or sudden health issues.
Keep parents informed about the student’s health status and progress.
Collaborate with instructional staff, residence staff, and physicians to effectively communicate health needs.
Participate in routine health screenings and surveys as required.
Take sign language classes to enhance communication with deaf or hard-of-hearing students (if applicable).
Qualifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona .
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience , preferably with medically complex or pediatric patients.
Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation.
Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills when working with students, families, and staff.
