Job Description

Location: Onsite – 77 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85012

Summary: The Report Analyst is responsible for developing data integration solutions and reporting templates that support MBI’s billing applications. Builds adhoc reports as required from multiple Patient Financial systems using available data platforms. Provides accurate and precise data with a high degree of confidence for all aspects of Revenue Cycle. This role monitors Accounts Receivable, payer trends, maintains Master Fee Schedules and other data areas of the revenue cycle. Provides analytics on defined KPI’s, develops accounts receivable executive to practice level report cards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create analytic reports from Legacy and other systems utilized in RCM to provide support for the department’s needs.
  • Maintain Master Fee schedules in the Patient financial systems and keeps them up to date per each State’s published date.
  • Builds Aged Trial Balance reports, claim reports and special project reports.
  • Presents qualitative and quantitative information to the management team.
  • Provides periodic analysis of Payer trends for Sr. leadership and RCM management to make work allocation decisions.
  • Identifies potential system issues by monitoring payment/denial trends.
  • Develop a short pay analytics process
  • Provides monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) report cards, benchmarking against industry standards.
  • Develop and present MTD, YTD and YOY trending reports in various aspects of revcycle.
  • Maintain working relationships with departments across the clinical and administrative departments.
  • Provide data to Management and RCM staff that will enable improved processes, increased accuracy, build efficiencies and track financial goals.
  • Maintain proficiency in all systems required for task completion.
  • Provide data support for meetings with payor representatives and/or vendors
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Five years of work experience in data analytics, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Five years of Information Technology experience with emphasis in data management or data integration.
  • Preferred working understanding of patient accounting and patient accounts receivables.
  • Strong data investigation and problem-solving skills.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an on-demand environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing and BI tools used to house and mine data.
