THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Risk Manager, you will oversee, manage and provide strategic guidance and decision making on general liability, auto and property claims and litigation, working closely with our third-party administrator and outside counsel to reduce risk and liability. You will help collect information and review discovery responses and provide feedback to outside counsel on discovery and other filings. You will also attend mediations, analyze claims data and collaborate with internal partners on strategies to reduce potential liability for Chipotle.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Strong candidates are motivated by what they can achieve, growth they could experience and how they will impact the company.
  • Manage and provide strategic guidance on GL, auto, and property claims, including:
  • Reviewing first report of injury;
  • Strategizing regarding claims handling and reviewing and approving reserves; and
  • Working with third party adjusters and other departments to gather information, documentation, etc., needed to investigate and manage/litigate claims.
  • Attend mediations, participate in trials and attend/give depositions as needed.
  • Lead quarterly claims reviews with the third-party administrators and outside counsel.
  • Work with other departments to review and correct issues and participate in reviewing and updating policies and procedures where appropriately related to claims.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required.
  • 5-8 Years of experience required for this role.
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects and priorities.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking who is able to cross-collaborate and communicate with various parties effectively.
  • Experience handling claims and experience working within a large organization.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $113,000.00–$158,000.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
