We are looking for a self-motivated and curious Synthetic organic chemist for a Scientist – Principal Scientist level position to join a vibrant start-up company located in Woburn, MA. Preferred experience in the synthesis of carbohydrates, modified nucleosides, lipid molecules, related amidites and solid supports. Preferred experience level in synthetic organic chemistry: PhD plus postdoc plus 2+ years of industrial experience; PhD plus 4+ years of industrial experience; master’s degree plus 8+ years of industrial experience. Experience in the synthesis, purification, and/or analysis of oligonucleotides is a strong plus, but not required. Experience in route optimization and scaling up of small molecule precursors/intermediates is a strong plus. Experience in managing CRO and CDMO projects and FTE teams is a strong plus. Strong publication record of journal articles and patent applications is required.
