Apex is currently searching for a Scrum Master to support a large manufacturing client in the Plano, TX area. The position is slated as a 12 month contract with potential to extend down the road. This person will be helping with a company wide initiative to upgrade their manufacturing systems. Hours will be Monday-Friday 8-5 in CST with 3-4 days in office each week. Rate is expected around $65-70 an hour W2 depending on experience.

Job Title: Sr. Scrum Master

Location: Plano, Texas (Onsite 3 days a week, increasing to 4 days a week in September)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Scrum Master to join our dynamic team in a Scrum @ Scale environment. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong capabilities in JIRA, a people-first approach, and a consultant-like mindset that enables the agile framework to be used effectively for the people it serves. This role requires adaptability, dependability, and the ability to solve problems and think outside the box.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) and ensure they are productive and time-boxed.
• Coach and mentor Scrum teams on Agile principles and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Development Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Utilize JIRA to track and manage project progress, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Promote a people-first approach, understanding and addressing the needs of team members to enhance productivity and job satisfaction.
• Act as a consultant, guiding teams to use the Agile framework in a way that best serves their needs, rather than enforcing a rigid structure.
• Identify and resolve impediments that may hinder team progress, thinking creatively to find effective solutions.
• Adapt to changing project requirements and team dynamics, maintaining a flexible and positive attitude.
• Ensure the successful scaling of Scrum practices across multiple teams and projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification; Advanced certifications (e.g., SAFe, Scrum @ Scale) are a plus.
• Minimum of 6-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Scrum @ Scale environment experience
• Proficiency in JIRA and other Agile project management tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle multiple priorities.
• A people-first mindset, with a focus on enabling teams to perform at their best.
