Senior Design Engineer (HVAC), Union City

• Pay Rate: $155,000 to $175,000 SALARY MAX (base salary)
Must Haves to Qualify
*3+ Recent years experience using Revit to design mechanical systems in large-scale construction projects
*Four-year degree in Engineering
*PE License Required
*5+ years experience min, 10+ years experience preferred, specifically working in design as an HVAC engineer
Senior Design Engineer (HVAC) will:
• Serve as design professional at project team design meetings
• Prepare complex preliminary Bluebeam design layouts for estimating
• Perform more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, etc
• Perform site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolves design issues during construction phase
• Supervise or directs the workflow of less-experienced engineers in performing HVAC or other system designs
• Provide conceptual design for specific projects
Additional Requirements:
• 5+ years experience min, 10+ years experience preferred, specifically working in design as an HVAC engineer
• Excellent knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, piping, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations
• Understanding of Process Piping
• Ability to manage and mentor junior level engineers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communication with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
• Strong public communications skills
• 3+ Recent years experience using Revit to design mechanical systems in large-scale construction projects
• Four-year degree in Engineering
• PE License Required
