We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Control Inspector to join our team, specializing in steel fabrication. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing inspection processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, weld specifications, and project requirements. About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update weld logs and weld maps daily; track weld IDs in piping systems according to ISO standards.
• Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections on fabricated steel products to ensure compliance with drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Utilize tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) for precision inspection.
• Identify defects, non-conformances, and inconsistencies; escalate quality concerns and support resolution.
• Collaborate with production, welding, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct internal quality audits and ensure compliance with quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
• Accurately document inspection results, maintain detailed QC records, and generate inspection reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing inspection data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
• Train and mentor junior QC staff on inspection techniques and company procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience in quality control within a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and inspection techniques.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and standards.
• Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or abnormalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret inspection data and suggest improvements.
• Experience with welding inspection or certification (e.g., AWS CWI) is a plus.
