The Senior UX Researcher will be responsible for conducting user research to inform the design and development of web and mobile applications. This role involves utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations. The researcher will design research plans, conduct user research sessions, analyze data, and provide recommendations based on user needs and project goals. The role also involves collaborating with designers and stakeholders, and contributing to the Ontario Design System.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Design research plans with clear objectives, targeting users based on their needs and challenges.
- Write usability discussion guides to moderate user research sessions and document responses.
- Analyze survey data and document recommendations based on project goals and user needs.
- Create personas to illustrate important user groups and highlight key characteristics and preferences.
- Create journey maps to illustrate important user groups' pain points and opportunities throughout the service.
- Identify key features to include in the development of prototypes.
- Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Transform design research into insightful analysis.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.
- Gather user feedback to configure existing interfaces.
- Develop performance measures (key performance indicators) for user research and conduct follow-up.
- Lead and conduct interviews and workshops to validate pre-Discovery hypothesis.
- Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
- Manage user stories with Agile, SCRUM, Lean, DevOps methodologies.
