Job Description

About the Role - The Store Manager will manage sales and production process through effective planning and utilization of resources to maximize customer experience, revenue, and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities -

  • Responsible for helping to drive overall sales and profitability goals while promoting a positive company culture.
  • Provides daily leadership and direction for store team.
  • Able to recognize opportunities and quickly adapt to changing demands/shifting business priorities.
  • Making critical decisions that are in the best interests of all parties in a quick manner.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in and telephone customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries to determine needs, provide recommendations and quotes and assist customers with the order process.
  • Execute in-house marketing programs as needed (direct mailings, telemarketing calls).
  • Implement Marketing Strategies from Marketing Planner.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with vendors to obtain quotes and follow-up on orders in process.
  • Support Operations Manager as needed with reports, close outs, invoices, and daily, weekly and monthly paperwork.
  • Trained in all areas of sign production to always maintain a fully functioning store.
  • Responsible for quality in all phases of the production and installation process.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and professional store appearance at all times.
  • Maintain store inventory and anticipate inventory needs.
  • Team player who assists in the sales, production, and installation process as needed.

Qualifications -

  • Associates Degree or higher.
  • Preferred experience in store management.

  • Outgoing personality and willingness to engage the public and to work as part of a team daily.
  • Strong personal and professional judgment.
  • Organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Must be computer knowledgeable and willing to learn to be proficient in various software programs.
  • Prior graphic design experience is a plus, but not required.

Physical Demands - The nature of work requires an ability to effectively communicate and exchange information; collect, compile, and prepare work documents, and operate equipment. Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb up and down steps and in and out of vehicles, and maneuver around physical obstructions while performing various duties. Must have the ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.

Working Conditions - Work performed in an office/shop environment but may require working outside with exposure to adverse weather conditions. May require extended hours during peak periods. Travel within the area and occasional overnight travel outside the area required.
