Join the Spartan Kids Team as a Summer Assistant and help create a fun, engaging, and nurturing environment for school-age children! This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring educators, childcare professionals, or anyone passionate about working with kids to gain hands-on experience while making a difference. Your Role Will Include:

• Work alongside the Lead Teacher to plan and lead fun activities.
• Set up and take down supplies and projects for hands-on learning.
• Assist with Friday field trips and supervise students during adventures.
• Create a warm and inclusive environment for kids and families.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the classroom.
• Support the Lead Teacher with daily tasks and student supervision.

Qualifications:

• Age 18 or older.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required..
• Successful completion of background check.  
• Energetic, fun, and positive attitude with a passion for working with kids.
• Patient, professional, and strong in conflict resolution.
• Organized, flexible, and adaptable to different tasks.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to prepare and serve snacks as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and ready to make a difference!

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting at $14.14 - $15.15 per hour.
• Earned Sick & Safe Time (ESST), Retirement Benefits through PERA.

Location & Shift Times:

• Orono Elementary Complex.
• FT Split Shift, PT AM, PT PM, Monday - Friday 7 AM - 5:45 PM.
• Program Start Date: June 9th.
