Tax Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Tax Analyst for a newly created opportunity with a company headquartered in Richmond, VA.

The Tax Analyst will be responsible for supporting the company’s international and domestic tax functions. Responsibilities include preparing and filing federal and state tax returns, supporting tax compliance and planning, conducting tax research and preparing financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough research on tax issues and provide recommendations to management on tax planning strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial statement disclosures.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for tax filings and audits.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
• Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline
• Minimum 2+ years of related experience
• Sharp Excel and systems skills

Skills:

• Excellent analytical skills with a strong sense of urgency
• Great attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary: $60-80k + Bonus
