Tax Manager

A client of ours is seeking a Tax Manager to lead all tax-related functions for a leading biosimulation software company in the pharmaceutical sector.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities across the organization.

• Partner with finance, legal, and investment teams to advise on tax matters related to transactions and operations.

• Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, coordinating with external auditors and advisors.

• Manage tax audits and liaise with domestic and international tax authorities.

• Stay informed on tax law changes and assess their impact on company operations.

• Design and execute tax strategies that minimize liabilities globally.

• Supervise tax filings, journal entries, and provision reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Enhance tax processes, systems, and controls, maintaining alignment with SOX requirements.

• Provide tax insights and guidance to senior leadership on mergers, acquisitions, and financing decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

• Minimum 8 years of progressive corporate tax experience, ideally with global exposure.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. and international tax regulations.

• Expertise in ASC 740, transfer pricing, SOX controls, and tax software systems including NetSuite.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Outlook.

• Comfortable adapting to change and driving improvements through innovation.
