Senior Technical Manager Scrum Master

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Technical Manager, Scrum Master to lead a team of tech leads and software engineers in managing technical IT projects from implementation through to completion. The types of projects will include software platform upgrades, software platform migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and infrastructure capacity additions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the infrastructure build process and experience in leading initiatives that involve purchasing hardware and software, as well as configuring those builds to meet organizational needs.

The candidate will use their technical and people management skills to support, manage and mentor engineering professionals both onshore and offshore with deep and varying backgrounds and experience. Candidate should have the ability to prioritize, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated, collaborative individual; motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

7 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in software development or IT infrastructure projects

• Strong understanding of software platform upgrades and infrastructure build processes.
• Experience in managing hardware and software procurement and configuration.
• Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software
• Experience includes development and management of multiple projects simultaneously
• Proactive, problem-solving approach someone who offers solutions not problems for others to solve.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively prioritize multiple deliverables
• Demonstrated flexibility to manage conflicting priorities
• Proven track record in meeting deadlines, assigned deliverables, project milestones, and negotiating for resources
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively with all levels and varying audiences
• Leadership abilities that include motivating others, giving and receiving feedback, leading without authority and delegation
• Excellent relationship management skills, with experience collaborating across various teams, business segments, functional areas, and/or stakeholder groups
• Demonstrated success using verbal and written communication skills to present information
• Strong Microsoft Office365 Suite & Teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of resource allocations, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Aptitude to communicate complex findings and conclusions in an easy-to-understand way
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and follow up skills
• Strong understanding of the various Aetna systems and infrastructure
• Prior healthcare industry experience

Knowledge of RTC, Rally, Jira and other work management tools

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

This team operates primarily based on the Eastern Time Zone.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
