Radiation Therapist Radiation Oncology

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 5 days/week | 8-hour shifts

Athena Medtech is seeking a compassionate and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Oncology department. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with experience in administering precise radiation treatments and providing empathetic care to oncology patients. Candidates should have a collaborative mindset and a strong foundation in radiation safety and treatment planning.
QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2 years in a clinical radiation therapy setting
Licensure/Certification: Certified Radiation Therapist (ARRT-T preferred)
Preferred Experience: Prior experience with travel assignments and use of medical imaging systems
Deliver individualized radiation therapy in accordance with patients' treatment plans and oncologist direction
Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients, addressing questions and concerns
Operate and calibrate imaging and treatment equipment to ensure precision and safety
Monitor and assess patient reactions to treatments and advise on managing side effects
Adjust treatment protocols as needed in collaboration with the oncology team
Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards
Provide emotional support and educational guidance to patients and their families throughout the treatment process
Strong knowledge of radiation physics and oncology principles
Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and treatment accuracy
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
