I am working with a Leading Specialty Finance firm who are looking to onboard an Originations Director / MD to join their Venture Lending team in SF / Menlo Park!

Job brief:

• Proactively identify and pursue new venture lending opportunities with emerging and growth-stage companies across sectors such as technology, healthcare, financial services, and consumer innovation.
• Develop and nurture strategic relationships with venture capital firms, startup founders, finance leaders, advisors, and other key players in the innovation ecosystem.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of deal execution—including initial evaluation, structuring, diligence coordination, and transaction close—in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Work closely with internal credit, legal, and risk professionals to design tailored financing solutions that align with borrower needs and internal investment parameters.
• Manage a dynamic and high-quality deal pipeline, with full accountability for meeting origination and volume goals.
• Actively participate in industry events, investor meetings, startup showcases, and partner discussions to enhance visibility and drive new business.
• Maintain detailed tracking and reporting of sourcing activities, pipeline performance, and other key business development metrics.
