Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wafer Processing Operator to join our team in a semiconductor production environment. This position plays a vital role in the wafer processing functions, including dicing, scribing, testing, and certifying wafer lots in the back end of wafer fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to handle fragile substrates and demonstrate manual dexterity with precision tools, ensuring that production and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily wafer processing operations, including wafer thinning, metallization, dicing/scribing, grinding, wafer probing, pick-and-place, and wafer/device testing .
• Work with multiple substrate materials in addition to traditional wafer processing.
• Maintain lot traceability throughout back-end operations.
• Manually handle fragile parts with care and precision, ensuring proper techniques and minimizing damage.
• Report any issues or problems encountered during the production process and contribute to resolving them efficiently.
• Support the implementation of daily plans and prioritize tasks according to production requirements.
• Ensure compliance with quality policies and maintain strict adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Support the engineering teams with various development tasks in addition to standard production.
• Follow cleanroom protocol and adhere to MIL-STD requirements and product-specific specifications.
• Participate in maintaining and improving operational efficiency in a LEAN or Six Sigma environment (experience in these areas is a plus).

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong manual dexterity for handling fragile substrates, including the use of tweezers and precision tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and focus on maintaining process safety and quality standards.
• Ability to follow written instructions carefully and ensure precise execution of tasks.
• Experience in microelectronics or photonic device inspection is an advantage.
• Proficiency in adhering to safety measures, including the handling of chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with safety protocols.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment, adhering to strict cleanliness and safety standards.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and teams.
