Job Summary

As a Business Development Intern at Dezu, you’ll play a key role in supporting our growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and contributing to strategic projects. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with our founders to help expand Dezu’s reach, attract new partners, and drive user acquisition. You’ll gain valuable experience in a startup environment, develop skills in sales, networking, and market research, and contribute directly to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Lead Generation: Conduct research to identify potential partners, clients, or markets for Dezu’s products/services. Generate leads and build a pipeline of prospective business opportunities.
  • Outreach & Relationship Building: Assist in reaching out to potential partners, clients, or collaborators via email, social media, or other channels. Help nurture relationships to support long-term partnerships.
  • Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitors and market trends to provide insights that inform Dezu’s business strategy.
  • Support Sales Efforts: Assist in creating proposals, pitch decks, and other materials to support business development initiatives. Participate in meetings with potential partners or clients as needed.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update CRM with accurate information on leads, prospects, and partnerships.
  • Project Support: Collaborate on special projects, such as launching new features, entering new markets, or organizing events to promote Dezu.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the founding team to align business development efforts with Dezu’s overall goals.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program (preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field).
  • Strong interest in business development, sales, or entrepreneurship, with a desire to learn about the startup ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft professional emails and engage in conversations with potential partners.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Research and analytical skills to identify market opportunities and understand industry trends.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is a plus but not required.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to Dezu’s growth.
  • Previous internship or project experience in business development, sales, or marketing is a plus but not mandatory.
