About the Role 

Strike is on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team to streamline and lead our business development function within the U.S. The BDR Manager will play a pivotal role in building and leading a high-performing outbound business development team, with a strategic focus on outbound prospecting. This individual will lead a team of 7 highly motivated sales development professionals in an effort to source and engage high potential prospects while also developing processes to accelerate and fine-tune Strike’s go-to-market efforts.

Compensation Package:

  • OTE: $150,000 - $170,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies, focusing primarily on outbound sales with a strong emphasis on pipeline generation
  • Create and refine the BDR playbook, defining best practices, prospecting strategy, messaging, and processes to optimize productivity and results
  • Measure and analyze BDR performance metrics, providing actionable insights and ensuring the team meets and exceeds set goals
  • Be hands-on in coaching BDRs, providing training and real-time feedback to ensure continual skill development
  • Proactively coach the BDRs through a career pathing plan for their individual growth
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to ensure messaging resonates with Strike’s target audience and alignment of overall revenue objectives
  • Attend relevant industry events and conferences, representing the company and networking with prospects and partners
  • Stay up-to-date with the cybersecurity landscape and ensure that the team is informed on the latest trends, competition, and solutions
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to ensure seamless lead handoffs and alignment on pipeline priorities
  • Provide detailed analyses and reporting on team’s performance, accurate forecasts, test strategies, and process optimization for maximum efficiency and impact

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience in an outbound sales or business development role, with a minimum of 1 year experience within the cybersecurity industry
  • 2+ years in a business development management role
  • Proficient with Salesforce CRM
  • Willingness to attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities as needed
  • Ability to be in our Downtown Boston office at a minimum of once per week 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with the fast-paced, dynamic environment of early-stage startups (Seed, Series A, or B)
  • Experience with prospecting tools like Orum and Apollo
  • Sales methodology training (MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPICED)
