Are you ready to join a growing company? The purpose of a Driver Leader is to schedule freight deliveries and arrange pickups of shipments and parcels. Their duties include scheduling truck drivers, relaying shipment details as arranged with customers, and setting up drivers' routes. Driver Leaders are also required to monitor and communicate with drivers regarding their driver logs.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicating to drivers via phone, email, and text.
• McLeod dispatch software.
• Dispatch drivers to complete deliveries.
• Plan delivery routes.
• Review driver logs.
• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
• Plans, schedules, and assigns driver dispatch
• Coordinate schedule in the most effective manner.
• Keep clear and accurate records.
• Understand, interpret, and apply rules and written directions.
• Ensure positive driver experience through coaching and communication.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

At least 2-4 years of transportation experience.

Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to resolve driver issues.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a related field.

High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in transportation or logistics is preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Ability to climb stairs.
