Job Description

Construction Trades Staffing is seeking several Heavy Equipment operators in Clarence, NY.

For this Heavy Equipment Operator position you will play a crucial role in the construction and infrastructure sector by operating various heavy machinery and equipment to execute projects efficiently and safely.

This role demands not only technical expertise with machines such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes but also a strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures. You will work closely with construction teams to ensure tasks are completed accurately according to project specifications and timelines. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to navigate challenging worksite conditions while maximizing productivity. Operators are expected to perform routine maintenance checks on their equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, and report any significant concerns to supervisors. For this Heavy Equipment operator position you will also be completing Utility work on sanitary sewer lines, catch basin, manholes, building foundation excavation and backfill land grading etc.

Responsibilities for this Heavy Equipment Operator:

  • Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to execute project plans and timelines effectively.
  • Load and unload materials and lift heavy objects as needed during construction activities.
  • Maintain accurate logs of work performed and equipment usage as required.
  • Communicate effectively with other construction personnel to coordinate tasks and ensure workflow efficiency.

Requirements for this Heavy Equipment Operator:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Valid heavy equipment operator's license or relevant certifications.
  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in heavy equipment operation.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle demanding work conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
