Position: Junior Data Analyst
Position Type: Full-time Onsite
Position Location: Huntsville, AL
Clearance Required: Active Secret (TS/SCI preferred)

Waypoint’s client is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to provide analytical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Chief Architect’s Warfighter/International Integration office (MDA/CAI). This office serves as the single point of contact for wargame requirements development, campaign planning and analysis, and technical issues related to the missile defense system. The ideal candidate will combine technical data analysis skills with familiarity in wargaming, modeling and simulation, and missile defense systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and improve software packages to analyze missile defense-related system capabilities in support of MDA wargame events.
• Provide analytical support for campaign planning, execution, and post-event assessment.
• Support analysis through modeling and simulations, including integration into wargaming applications.
• Apply DoD best practices in test and evaluation analysis, development of analytical products, and campaign planning.
• Collaborate with large, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality products for MDA personnel and warfighters.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience supporting missile defense or related DoD programs.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Working knowledge of software development in Python, VBA, or MATLAB.
• Familiarity with DoD software packages such as AFSIM and MDASim.
• Knowledge of missile defense threat systems and threat modeling/representation.
• Ability to travel as required.

Desired:

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of software development and integration experience.
• Experience supporting large DoD projects, test analysis, or missile defense-related programs.
• Familiarity with wargaming processes, including software integration for data collection and reporting.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present in working groups of 50+ participants.
• Project experience developing software tools (Python/VBA) from conception through deployment to support wargaming events.
• Familiarity with DoD visualization tools such as Qlik Sense or Power BI for data presentation.
• Active or eligible for Top Secret/SCI.
