About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic Strategic Communications Specialist to lead our external communications efforts while providing critical support for internal communications initiatives. This role serves as the primary driver of Bixal’s marketing and communication strategy, ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all channels. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with strong project management skills who can collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to amplify our brand and engage our audiences and customers.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $105,000 – $110,000. In the spirit of transparency, most offers tend to land near the midpoint of the range. Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communication Strategy

  • Maintain and continuously refine Bixal’s marketing and communication strategy to align with business objectives and market trends

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive editorial calendar encompassing LinkedIn social media posts, blog publications, case studies, and Bixal website content

  • Monitor performance metrics and adjust communication strategies to maximize engagement and reach

Content Development & Coordination

  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to conceptualize, develop, review, and publish topical blog content that addresses customer needs and supports business development initiatives

  • Collaborate with SMEs and project teams to create compelling case studies that showcase our work and demonstrate value to prospective clients and partners

  • Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, messaging framework, and strategic objectives

Social Media Management

  • Create and schedule regular social media content across approved channels (primarily LinkedIn) following the editorial calendar

  • Design engaging social media graphics, including banners, call-out boxes, and other visual assets using tools such as Canva, Pexel, and similar platforms

  • Monitor social media engagement (primarily LinkedIn) and respond to audience interactions in a timely, professional manner

Marketing Collateral & Materials

  • Develop and maintain Bixal slick sheets, one-pagers, and pitch decks that effectively communicate our capabilities and value proposition

  • Create polished marketing materials for use in business development efforts, conferences, and partnership opportunities

  • Ensure all collateral remains current and reflects Bixal’s latest work and achievements

Digital Presence

  • Coordinate Bixal website updates and improvements in collaboration with design and technical teams

  • Recommend enhancements to the homepage and other key sections to improve user experience and support business goals

  • Ensure website content remains fresh, accurate, and aligned with Bixal’s overall communication strategy

Employee Engagement & Information Sharing

  • Support the creation and coordination of content for Bixal’s internal email newsletter

  • Assist with developing and updating content for Bixal’s intranet homepage

  • Help craft company-wide messages from leadership, ensuring clarity and appropriate tone

  • Support content development for Bixal-wide meetings and other Bixal-wide gatherings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field

  • 5-7 years of experience in strategic communications, marketing communications, or corporate communications

  • Proven track record of managing multi-channel communication strategies

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms)

  • Strong working knowledge of social media platforms and management tools

  • Experience with content management systems and website platforms

  • Familiarity with project management and editorial calendar tools

  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and digital analytics

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work effectively with SMEs and cross-functional teams

  • Creative problem-solver with a strategic mindset

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and take initiative

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in professional services, government consulting, or B2B environment

  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)

  • Experience with video editing or multimedia content creation

  • Understanding of brand development and management

  • Familiarity with AP Style or other editorial standards
