Job Description

NYC Alliance Company LLC is seeking a creative and skilled Sweater Designer to join our Branded Division. In this role, you will be responsible for designing a wide range of stylish and innovative sweaters that resonate with our brand identity and excite our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sweater designs from concept to final production, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and target markets
• Research and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to inspire new designs
• Create detailed technical sketches and specifications for production, maintaining accuracy and clarity
• Oversee the sampling process, providing feedback and adjustments to ensure quality and fit
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and marketing, to ensure cohesive product lines and successful launches
• Monitor fabric and yarn innovations, incorporating new techniques and materials into designs
• Participate in fittings and communicate with overseas vendors to ensure timely and accurate production

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of design experience in knitwear or sweater design
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of sweater designs and creativity
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant design software
• In-depth knowledge of yarns, fabrics, and knitting techniques
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
